Description

Make that next mug of hot chocolate a little cozier with this lovely holiday cup and saucer set! Lot includes: 5 Cuthbertson tea cups (aka flat cups), 2 1/4" H. - 2 of 5 marked with a green #2 on the underside (to one side of the tree); slightly smaller backstamp - 2 of 5 marked with a roman numeral 1 (I) (Original Christmas Tree I); slightly larger backstamp - 1 of 5 without any additional numbers 7 Cuthbertson saucers, apx 3.5" - 4 of 7 marked with a green #2 on the underside (to one side of the tree); slightly smaller backstamp - 1 of 7 with a roman numeral 1 (I) (Original Christmas Tree I); slightly larger backstamp - 2 of 7 without any additional numbers NOTE: the pieces marked with a green #2 on the underside are just slightly heavier/thicker than the other pieces; I assume they are a later production run. Condition: Very nice vintage, preowned condition. All pieces exhibit light to moderate crazing consistent with age, use, and storage. I have taken photos of some of the pieces as examples; please assume that all pieces will reflect crazing. I also noted on spot of missing glaze on the rim of one cup; this is photographed.
